- Reflection on Previous I Search Experiences (due Mon. April 7)
1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
- We did a Mythology webquest in English class.
- The Labyrinth Project we had done in Social Studies.
- The Louisiana Festivals Project in the 7th grade Social Studies class.
- Project on Pompeii in Latin class.

2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
-Research is gathering information on a specific topic.

3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
- The Louisiana Festivals Project was somewhat a failure and a sucess. It was difficult to find information on our festival because it wasn't very large and it was no longer being held, but the project overall was a sucess.
- All together I would say that the experience was positive because I got to learn new things about my state.

1. Topic:
- My topic is how Roman and Greek architecture affect modern day architecture.
2. Why you chose it:
- I chose this topic because it was something that intrested me because I wanted to know speifically what came from it so I would be able to recognize and appreiciate it more.
3. What you already know about your topic:
- I know that the arch orignated in Roman architecture
- I also know that the column origninated in Greek architecture

- What are some common elements in Greek architecture?
- What are some common elements in Roman architecture?
- What elements in modern architecture most reflect Greek and Roman style.

- How dramatically have they been changed from ancient to modern day?

1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
- I really liked this because it let me know if mine was a broad enough topic or not
- I thought it was easy because we discussed what was and wasnt a fat question.

1. What have I learned today?
- I learned about doric, corinthian, and ionic columns and what divides these different styles.
2. What problems have I had?
- I always have problems with noodlebib I find it difficult, and I dont really like to use it.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
- I just tried to fimilarize myself with the material so I'm going to start with noodlebib today.
4. What will I do next?
- I will begin more work in noodlebib.

- I learned about the light weight concrete the Romans developed.

- I had touble finding more information the websites kept duplicating what i already had.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?
- By using different key words in my search.

- I'm going to use the books to try to learn more about specific buildings and how the romans built them.

- I learned about the Pantheon and all the different architectual elements used by the romans.
